More than two decades ago, Shane discovered he could bring together his love of farming, food and good wine to create something truly unique. What began as a small vineyard on rich volcanic soil has grown into a thriving expression of cool-climate winemaking on the Great Ocean Road.
Today, Basalt remains shaped by craftsmanship, community and an enduring respect for the land.
