The Basalt Wines Cellar Door began as a humble shed and has evolved into a warm and welcoming space that invites you to relax and explore. Set amidst picturesque vines, our eclectic space offers guided tastings of cool-climate wines and Mediterranean-inspired lunches crafted with locally sourced ingredients. It’s the perfect escape, where every sip and bite reflects the heart of our unique vineyard.

Wine tastings are $15 per person and available Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 5pm. 

We’re open 7 days from December 27 until January 19.

Bookings for wine tastings are recommended, book your tasting by choosing the ‘tasting room’ option.

For over two decades, Basalt Wines has been crafting exceptional cool-climate wines that embody the spirit of the Great Ocean Road. What started as a humble spud paddock has grown into a thriving vineyard, thanks to the dedication and vision of Shane Clancey and his family. With roots in volcanic soil and a passion for the craft, our wines reflect the unique terroir of southwest Victoria. Each bottle tells a story of hard work, connection to the land, and the pursuit of excellence—20 years in the making.
